Esther earns the first PhD in NetRecon Lab

Congratulations to the new Dr. Max-Onakpoya for being the first person to graduate with a Doctoral degree from the NetReconLab. Dr. Max-Onakpoya defended her dissertation titled, “Improving connectivity for remote cancer patient symptom monitoring and reporting in rural medically underserved regions” in October 2022 and graduated in December 2022. Corey E. Baker is an Assistant Professor in the Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering. His research interests are in the area of full stack systems for distributing, protecting, and authenticating data in opportunistic networking scenarios for rural remote patient monitoring, smart cities, and natural disasters to improve the livelihood of people.
